I became a teacher because everyday is a different day and I never know what to expect. I love math and I want to try to get all of my kids to try to love it as much as I do. Even though that may not be possible, I still try to make it fun for them so they enjoy coming to class. I always wanted to be the kind of teacher they want to talk to and not be afraid of. I want them to remember me and the good times that we had in class and smile.

I was subbing one day for PE and we were playing mat ball. The kids asked me to play and of course I said "yes". I decided to pitch the ball since I wasn't wearing PE shoes. I figured that was safe. Someone threw the ball to me, but it went over my head. I jumped up to get it and I slipped and face planted! All I heard was teeth hitting the floor and then my head. It hurt so bad. I laid on the floor for quite some time. I finally heard someone say, "It's okay to be embarrassed." LOL

I would like to buy some furniture for a lounge area for the students. Finally, I would put the rest toward our SEL program that we just started this year. We could do a lot of good with that money!
