Teaching is so rewarding when you watch your students grow and learn to love things that they didn't like before...like math.

I became a teacher because everyday is a different day and I never know what to expect. I love math and I want to try to get all of my kids to try to love it as much as I do. Even though that may not be possible, I still try to make it fun for them so they enjoy coming to class. I always wanted to be the kind of teacher they want to talk to and not be afraid of. I want them to remember me and the good times that we had in class and smile.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI was subbing one day for PE and we were playing mat ball. The kids asked me to play and of course I said "yes". I decided to pitch the ball since I wasn't wearing PE shoes. I figured that was safe. Someone threw the ball to me, but it went over my head. I jumped up to get it and I slipped and face planted! All I heard was teeth hitting the floor and then my head. It hurt so bad. I laid on the floor for quite some time. I finally heard someone say, "It's okay to be embarrassed." LOL
What would you do with the $25,000?I would like to buy some furniture for a lounge area for the students. Finally, I would put the rest toward our SEL program that we just started this year. We could do a lot of good with that money!
