I became a teacher to make a real difference in the lives of others. Since third grade. I knew this was my dream career. Although I had a good childhood, I witnessed many who struggled, and I saw how teachers could change lives. I genuinely believe the future of our world lies in our classrooms, and students need someone who believes in them to help them realize their potential. For many, school is a safe space, and I am committed to creating that nurturing environment for them

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was when my first grade students wrote their own books. Thanks to some support, I was able to purchase copies for every student, ensuring that each child received a book, even if their family couldn’t afford one. The joy on their faces when they held their own creations was priceless. We celebrated with a “Star-book” day, enjoying strawberry lemonade, chocolate milk, and cake pops together. It truly was an unforgettable day filled with happiness

I would use this money to help pay off some of my student loans. I knew that becoming a teacher would be a tough financial journey so paying down these loans would really help me live more comfortably. I also want to set aside some funds to buy books for my students. Each year, I plan to have them write their own books, so having a budget for this would be a wonderful support for their creativity.
