I became a teacher to inspire and build lasting relationships. My greatest reward is seeing my students excel and reach their full potential

In high school, I had a teacher who went above and beyond to help me, and that experience ignited my passion for Information Technology. His support showed me the power of a teacher’s influence, and it inspired me to pursue a career where I could do the same for others. I’ve realized it’s my calling to not only teach but to lead and serve young people, helping them discover their potential and guiding them toward their own success, both academically and personally.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when I initially felt I failed my students in preparing them for the Microsoft Certification exam. My first semester teaching in the US was a culture shock, and I had to pool resources to help my students prepare for an exam I had never taken. However, in June 2023, I received an email from Microsoft congratulating me for being an outstanding educator, with my students scoring in the top percentile in New York State.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would continue rewarding and motivating my students by providing resources and supplies they need. I’ve always used my own money for this, and this amount would allow me to do even more. Additionally, it would help fund my master’s degree, which I plan to start in the fall of 2025.
