I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in my community. I had a Principal that believed in me. I knew I could bring happiness and show love to children while being apart of their education. I wanted to show resilience in the mist of any situation. I knew I could bridge the gap between community and school.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have so many! However, the one that stands out the most when one of my students was able to finally spell his name. He is a multilingual student and has some academic delays. With fidelity , consistency, and patience we never gave up.
What would you do with the $25,000?I am in need of a new car, take my mom on a much needed vacation ( she is turning 80), want to purchase a home ( down payment), and a couple of anonymous donations to two different community outreaches that supports single parents and caregivers with children.
