I love teaching because when the students start to understand, then they start to think. Thinking let's them explore and connect. It is fun.

I became a teacher because I wanted to help students use their powers for good. What I mean by that is students get stuck and sometimes are not given the voice to advocate for themselves. By empowering them to ask question and clear up misunderstanding. They start seeing better choices. I wanted them to have a voice for better options, education is that option.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere is so many to speak of. However the particular moments that reconfirm my love of teaching is when students struggle and struggle, then all of the sudden they get it. These moment help them understand that questioning and advocating are the cornerstone of building a successful life.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would plan a vacation with my daughters whose lives have moved them thousands of miles away. So we could have some great time to connect.
