I love teaching because it lets me inspire, connect with students, and witness their growth and “aha” moments every day.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I love helping kids learn and grow. Teaching math and STEM is exciting because it helps students think in new ways. I enjoy creating a fun and supportive classroom where they feel confident to explore and ask questions. Seeing their excitement when they understand something new makes teaching so rewarding.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable math experiences was when I introduced multiplication using a hands-on array activity. Many students struggled at first, but once they started arranging counters into equal groups, I saw the "aha" moments happen. One student, who usually found math challenging, suddenly lit up and said, "Oh! It’s just like building a puzzle!" Seeing their confidence grow and their understanding click reminded me why I love teaching math.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received $25,000, I would use it to take a big step toward my goal of buying a home. I have been saving for a house and carefully planning for this next chapter in my life. This money would help me get started on that journey, bringing me closer to having a place to call my own. Owning a home has always been a dream of mine, and this opportunity would make it feel even more within reach.
