I love teaching because it allows me to inspire, empower, and help others discover their potential and curiosity. I teach from my heart!

I truly believe that it was my calling to become a teacher. When I started college, my major was social work. When I came home from college during my first year Christmas break, I had a change of heart. I really love what I do and how my teachings have changed so many children’s lives!! Once my student, always my student!!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when I was teaching 5th grade. My kids this particular year felt like they weren’t as good as the other class because others made them feel bad about not being in the advanced class. When I figured out what was going on, I kept encouraging them and assuring them that they were as smart as the other class. Once the end of the quarters came up, and results were posted, my kids had excelled higher than the advanced class. It was because I believed in them.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the 25,000, I would definitely use some of it to make sure that my kids have material to do standard based experiments. I would also make sure that my students would be able to go on a field trip that was paid for so they would not have to worry about having to pay for it.
