Teaching was my passion but imposible to pursue in comunist government. When moved in USA, my dream came true. Love to shape our future.

I always wanted to be a teacher. Loved tutoring my classmates that were struggling and I found joy in doing it. Unfortunately, ended getting a degree that government decided for me. Moving in USA with my family awoke my dream to teach for real. which I pursued immediately and loving every bit of it. Being a teacher is a very honorable job because in one hand, we impact our future of our country and on the other hand it impacts us to be better people.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceEvery day is a new, unpredictable day when you teach especially in urban setting like Waterbury, CT Knowing how little connections our students have with nature, in spring time, we make a small garden from seed to harvest, implementing science principles. It's breathtaking when students want to take home their little flower and continue taking a good care. Also coming back from summer and check up on their squash is great.
What would you do with the $25,000?Our school has an abendened green house which I see it as a great opportunity to repair it and offer students vacational skills such as reading, math, Science, social- emotional skills, management skills and much more while they grow goods Last but not the leats, when goods are shared/donated to the community, it helps students feel good about helping, giving and most importantly, they feel the power to make a difference and shape up their future.
