Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I truly believe it’s a gift from God. Being around children is like a warm, magical blanket that fills my heart. Their imagination, laughter, and unique personalities bring me so much joy.it’s what keeps me going. Teaching isn’t just a job; it’s a part of who I am. Every day, I get to learn from them as much as they learn from me, and that’s what makes it so special.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I have so many memorable moments, but one that truly touched me was a lesson in forgiveness and resilience. A child was deeply hurt by a peer’s actions and began to cry. Instead of holding onto the pain, he simply said, “It’s okay, I think he misses his mom.” In that moment, he chose to see his friend’s feelings over his own pain. It was a beautiful reminder of how easily children let go of things and lead with empathy.something we can all learn from.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would finally make my lifelong dream come true opening my own daycare. I've always wanted to create a warm, loving space where kids feel safe, happy, and free to learn. This would help me build that space, filled with creativity and care. More than just a business, it’s my passion. I also want to make it accessible, allowing families to pay based on their real income so every child, no matter their situation, gets the care and love they deserve.
