Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to be positive male role model to all students. I'm driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of students and help shape students academic and personal growth. It's rewarding to see the positive impact it has in our classroom environment.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable experience is not just one moment, however, it's a culmination of similar events. Our PTO plans events that happen around some major holidays during the school year. When this occurs, I show up to as many as possible, to promote family and student prescence outside school hours and rapport between staff and external stakeholders. This also gives me an opportunity to wear my holiday themed suits for events.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 towards my grade level team. Whenever I am given monetary donations from families, PTO, or by the school board I see how this can be used to enrich my student learning or character development. In the past, I have used my personal $100 from PTO towards are grade level field trips to help reduce cost for families to pay for their children to experience an exciting learning opportunity outside of the school building. I would use the money in similar experiences.
