My former 4th grade teacher compared my sister to me in a negative way. Since that moment, it changed the course of my sister’s life. Her self esteem, she turned my sister off of school. It was not good. I vowed to always make each child feel valued and loved no matter the circumstances.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThis one moment impacted me as a teacher tremendously. On this one particular day, I was working one on one with one of my kinders. While working with him, I saw the light bulb go out in his eyes when he realized he had it a little harder than his peers. That was about 15 years ago and I still see and feel that moment as if it happened yesterday. I never want to experience that ever again.
What would you do with the $25,000?I could do many things like pay off my student loan. I could figure out the best way to contribute to my school and kids. Or I could bank it or invest it for my daughter’s future. And maybe give myself a spa day. 😉
