I became a teacher to help children learn and grow; especially those who struggle in school. Also, to try and make sure all children learn AND have fun! School should be a safe, welcoming environment all students love to go each day.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was teaching during the pandemic. I really got to know families on a whole new level and how every family faced many different challenges. Mental health was a huge concern I had for my students. It was up to me to connect and be there for them; even if it was through a screen. It wasn’t easy but I’m so happy I was there to help maneuver students through very uncertain times.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I’d definitely put money aside for my own children’s schooling. I’d also repair some major issues with our home. Lastly, I’d send my parents on vacation! They’ve been my rock!
