I became a teacher because of the best teacher I ever had, my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Weston! She inspired me to be a teacher just like her:joyful, happy, positive, energetic, loving, and kind! She made learning fun and made you want to be at school! She made you feel like you mattered to her, that she really cared about you and loved you! And that’s the kind of teacher I strive to be for my students EVERY SINGLE DAY since! I always tell my students,”You learn more when you’re happy!” So TRUE! ❤
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience would be the lifelong relationships I have fostered with my former students! Many of my former students are now parents and I have had the honor of now teaching THEIR children too! They have brought their children back to me, so that I could be their teacher as well! I now have gone to college graduations, weddings & baby showers of my students and some have become teachers too! Full circle! What a gift I have been given & I am now able to give back! 🥰
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would help pay for my 2 younger sons to complete their college educations! I am a single mother of 3 boys who I have raised on my own for the last 16 years, with no financial help from their father! One is in graduate school working on his Masters, and 2 are at the local Junior College, with hopes of transferring to a 4 year university. I would help make that happen for my 2 younger sons! My dream come true would be to help them both go to a university & get their degrees!
