I was a special education teacher assistant for 2 years and decided to become a teacher. I couldn’t see myself working in any profession without kids. The growth that is celebrated in special education is so special. You get to celebrate the ordinary things.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy student fell asleep during rest time. He opened his eyes at one point and mumbled something. I told him “Hi Student” and he responded with “I love you, Ms. Martin.” Then when it was time for me to wake him up, the first thing he said was “I love you, Ms. Martin.” My heart absolutely melted.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my student loans and use the rest to refinance my house.
