Tell us why you became a teacher

I first started out in college just to play sports, not knowing what I wanted to do. We'll at the end of rhe college journey we had to do student teaching. To tell you the truth, I was not looking forward to that. After my 1st day in the classroom, I fell in love with teaching. I then started to look at all the minds that we could help shape for our future. I have not looked back since. 36 years later, I am still teaching middle school woodshop, competitive robotics, and engineering class

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

There are so many memories to look back on. I would say the most memorable ones are the ones when the student comes back to the school and let's you know how much I helped shape their future. Along with finding out from the parents the difference we made in their child, whether it being just helping them get through middle school, or the one that my class helped turn around from severe depression and is now on an engineering path in college. And the group that are now engineers.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win the 25,000 dollars, I would give back to the programs at my school that have helped so many students over the years. I would also take my wife on a vacation that is long over do.
