My mother was a teacher, so I grew up seeing the importance of education. After going to art school I felt the calling to go into education. I thought I could make a difference and through public education I could help level the playing field. I also love being able to share my love of art with students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt’s hard to pick just one, but there is no greater experience than watching my students grow artistically and intellectually. What would you do with the $25,000?Set some money aside for my son’s college fund, pay off student loans, and buy more tools for my ceramic studio.
