I became a teacher because I had many teachers that had a positive impact on my life. I wanted to do the same and try to have the same impact.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

As a PE teacher, my days are busy and crazy! There is nothing better than the excitement and satisfaction of a students face after they have improved on skill or any exercise in class. The best example is teaching students to ride a bike! We ride bikes as part of class and many middle schoolers don't know how. I love their determination to learn even when they might be embarrassed.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would spend the money on everyone but myself. This would be my wife, daughter and my students!!!! There are so many things I want to get to improve my classes so that students have the best equipment and the best experience. I always tell them that they are the best, so they deserve the best!! My wife is my rock and the biggest support I have! She deserves the world. My daughter is 20 months old and I think it goes without saying that I want nothing but the best for her.
