I love teaching because of the relationship building, getting to watch kids grow into the best versions of themselves, and be an advocate.

1.I have known since I was little, I wanted to be a teacher. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family of teachers and saw first-hand the significance of this profession. Throughout the last fifteen years, my why has remained the same- to provide support for each and every student I meet. There is so much more to being a teacher than just teaching. Students need an advocate to help them navigate the many challenges they face.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere have been too many memorable moments to just choose one. Each student means so much to me and individually, they have all overcome things in their lives. I love to run into them years after I have had them and hear about where their lives have taken them. We have a lot of fun moments in class too, that students bring up years later.
What would you do with the $25,000?There are so many things I could use this money for. Right now, starting a family is a high priority. Medical bills are always very high for both the fertility process and as a diabetic. We are working on building a home as well. I would use some to use in my classroom as well as we are seeing a shortage of funds and my classroom is in need of new supplies and desks.
