I have always had a passion for learning and through teaching, I’m able to inspire and share my love for science with my amazing students!

I became a teacher because I have always had a heart for kids, a love for serving others, and passion for science. Watching my students engaged and excited about learning keeps my heart full.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have taught for 29 years, so I have had MANY memorable experiences throughout my career. At the top of my list would be teaching my forensic science students how to perform a pig autopsy. I wrote a grant which I was awarded to provide funding for my students to participate in this amazing hands on learning experience. It was incredible how engaged they were!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use $5000 of the money to purchase science lab materials for my school SGA . I would also like to provide my students with an amazing field trip experience such as Physics Day at 6 Flags. I would certainly pay off some bills, donate some to the local animal shelter, and take a trip to see my son who is in the US Army.
