Tell us why you became a teacher

I wanted to make learning a fun experience for students. Enthusiasm can be infectious; when the teacher shows a passion for the subject, the students are enthusiastic to pay attention and learn.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

When I taught English, I a junior male student not interested in education. Class read "The Catcher in the Rye." He reminded me of Holden. I suggested he read it because he would relate. He was in home arrest for the weekend. He actually read the book and got the highest grade on the exam. It was a proud moment!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would give some money to my school for students' scholarships and also pay toward student loan debt.
