My journey to education began with a passion for music. However, I discovered a deeper calling: to empower learners. I realized my ability to transform any situation into a learning opportunity. Now, I'm driven to guide students towards academic success, fostering their creativity and preparing them for the future.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience involved bringing the Pythagorean Theorem to life on the football field. Students filmed plays, charted player movements, and used those measurements to solve real-world problems. Analyzing the 'angle of pursuit' transformed a complex mathematical concept into an engaging and memorable learning experience.
What would you do with the $25,000?Receiving $25,000 would be life-changing. I would prioritize long-term financial security through investing and put towards a down payment on a home. Because I'm passionate about education, I'd create a dynamic makerspace for my students and establish a scholarship fund for talented band members interested in STEM/STEAM careers.
