I’ve always been a teacher at heart. From a very young age, I remember having my own imaginary classroom on Saturday mornings. I turned my bedroom wall into a good work board and my closet into a library. I’m passionate about removing barriers, inspiring youth to discover their talents and dream big! Nothing gives me more joy than seeing my students grow into their potential.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI won a science grant which allowed me to hold an event for students and parents at my school. It was a competition in which students paired up with their parents to solve a mystery using Chemistry. We engaged the sheriff department(forensic unit) and the local university students. We spent a Saturday together exposing parents to the technology their students used to complete their work daily. We had lunch and at the end of the day the winners were announced. It was great.
What would you do with the $25,000?I need a roof for the house my parents are living in and I’d love to remodel their bathroom. That would give me great joy!
