As a Music Educator, I love teaching students about something that I’m very passionate about. I love teaching music because it is universal.

Tell us why you became a teacher

I'm seriously offended by the phrase "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach!" The person who originally quoted that obviously forgot that he/she was instructed by a teacher at some point in their lives! Anyway, Teachers are Doers! I'm an educator and professional musician. So, I teach from the experiences of both "worlds ". I teach by this motto: "When it starts to feel like work , it's no longer fun". Teaching music is fun to me, that is why I became a Music Educator.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

When 1 of my former students were in the movie "Drumline"-a percussion student I had when I lived in Michigan. He is now an Elementary school Assistant Principal in the Flint,Michigan area, and teaches percussion students privately.

What would you do with the $25,000?

-I will tithe and donate a portion to a charitable organization -I will put a large portion into my 2 music programs at my school(My Drumline/Marching Unit, and My Little Kids Rock/ Music Will Program). -Help my family.
