I want to be to the kids the person I needed when I was growing up. I needed a safe space/person since I felt I didn't have that at home.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWorking in the afteschool program I held story time for some kindergarten kids. I asked them to give me character names, a problem they encountered, and how to solve the problem. Once I got these things I improvised a story. After a while the kids started coming up with their own stories. Helping these kids spark their creativity has been a joy!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off student loans and take my wife on the honeymoon we missed out on when we got married.
