I became a teacher so I could make a difference in another’s life. Since I was a little girl, it was on my bucket list- make your mark and make a difference. Once I became a teacher, it was clear that I had made the right choice. Being a teacher is being one with many hats. I am also a mom, a cheerleader, a role model, a nurse, a doctor, etc. and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. At the end of the day, I want my students to know they can depend on me!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was when a student of mine was struggling hard with his letter names and letter sounds. Every time he had to take his progress monitoring test, you could see how nervous he was. I remember the day he made his first goal- we both shed some tears together!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would donate around 15k to my school for things our Special Education teachers need for their students as well as plenty of items to buy for our Caring Closet (a place students can take what they need). Then, I would give 5k to a family that needs it. The rest I would give to my mom, that way she can enjoy retirement without the worry.
