I became a teacher because ever since first grade, I knew I wanted to inspire others the way my teachers inspired me. It’s been my lifelong dream!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA memorable teaching moment was when I attended one of my student’s baseball games outside of school. Seeing them shine in their element, surrounded by family and friends, reminded me how much I love getting to know my students beyond the classroom. It strengthened our bond, and the smile on their face when they saw me in the crowd was priceless. Moments like these make teaching so special.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000 from the America’s Favorite Teacher contest, I’d use it to support my students by providing supplies or resources they need to succeed. I’d upgrade my classroom with new technology and seating to create a more engaging learning environment. I’d also invest in resources for fellow teachers to make a wider impact in our school. Lastly, I’d set aside a portion for self-care, ensuring I can continue giving my best to my students every day.
