The mind of a developing and growing child is such a fascinating thing. It is also our most powerful tool as a human. I absolutely love teaching students how to use their mind to achieve their goals, dreams, and find happiness and joy. While in college, I found my niche in working with special education students and have been in that world since. Helping students discover the strength they have within is so rewarding! The neurodivergent mind is beautiful and I love being a part of their lives.

I recently began working with special education students in a Transition program (18-22). This has been extremely fulfilling, challenging, and exciting. One of the most memorable experiences I have had is when I was able to support a student through the entire job search process. From their resume, application, and interview to finally being offered the job and getting hired! Being able to watch their confidence grow and see the pride in their success was incredibly rewarding!

While it may be cliche, I would first pay off my remaining student debt. Freedom from that financial weight would be a blessing. Second, I would want to ensure all of my students have an "interview outfit". I want them to have clothes they can feel confident and professional in as they work towards employment. Finally, I would use the remaining money to purchase a camper for my family. Outdoor adventures are a passion and value of mine and a camper would provide many more opportunities.
