From a young age, I was inspired by the teachers who played a significant role in my own life, sparking my curiosity and fostering a love for learning. I wanted to create that same nurturing environment for my future students, where they feel safe, valued, and excited to explore new ideas. I am particularly drawn to the elementary level because it is a time of immense growth and discovery.

One of the most memorable teaching experiences occurred during my time as a student teacher. The Covid-19 pandemic led to the closing of schools and I witnessed firsthand the power of education and educators. The commitment and ingenuity of teachers during this challenging time not only helped students continue their education but also provided me with an unforgettable learning experience that deepened my love for the teaching profession.

If I were to win the $25,000, I would pay off college debt that requires me to work multiple jobs. In doing this, I would have the time to enroll in a reputable program for higher education while attending conferences and seminars hosted by experienced educators. This opportunity would allow me to enhance my teaching skills, and ultimately contribute to the growth and education of young children in meaningful ways.
