I had several amazing teachers in highschool, Mrs. Lizzio for my 10th grade biology, Mr. Styes for my 9th grade history and Mr. Obsnuik was my robotics coach. All three of them made my highschool career so enjoyable and I just wanted to be able to give that same enjoyment to kids too, because there's so many kids that "hate school" and I wanted to do what I could to change that.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have a couple that are up there, first one is most recent when one of my former students who graduated highschool came to 8th grade PTC to visit after years and told me that she'd gotten a full ride scholarship to U of M and was going into a science career because of the impact I had on her life. When I tell you I cried so hard when I got to my car later. That's the goal though, to inspire kids to be the best versions of themselves.
What would you do with the $25,000?Definitely gonna buy some food and cook for my kids, they've been begging me to cook for them all year. Then I'd put a decent chunk away for my kids for college and then save the rest for a rainy day.
