I became a teacher because my incredible teachers and coaches inspired me to follow in their footsteps. After 20 years in the profession, I now have the opportunity every day to inspire my students to become the individuals they were meant to be on this earth. Each day in the classroom brings a unique chance to guide, motivate, and nurture their talents, helping them realize their full potential and make meaningful contributions to the world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had one of my special education students cut my hair after school in front of my entire baseball team. She aspired to be a cosmetologist, and I wanted to show her that she could achieve that dream by becoming her first client. Today, she is a successful cosmetologist, and that moment gave her hope and confidence for her future.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my student loans and help my community and family more financially.
