I love being a teacher because I’m able to impact the lives of many kids on a daily basis whether it be through coaching or teaching Biology

I became a teacher because I was surrounded by educators my entire life. My mother, grandmother, and grandfather, all educators were incredible examples of how teachers made huge impacts on the lives of students. I wanted to follow in their footsteps so that I too could make an impact no matter how big or small.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable experience teaching was two years ago when I was voted as a top 10 teacher (voted on by students) out of 167 teachers on our campus. I was beyond grateful and completely shocked! When you’re in the grind every single day, you never do it for the recognition, but you never know who’s life you’re impacting. The fact that they’d chosen me just blew my mind and I will never forget that!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off debt and be able to take my children on a vacation. I have always wanted to be able to take them to Disney. Teaching isn’t a high paying job but we never do it for the money. With inflation at an all time high & being recently divorced, it’s hard to keep up with everything and give my kids the best life but I will always do the best I can. This would be a lifetime opportunity!
