While volunteering at a local elementary school during college, I noticed one student’s love of Anime drawings and helped her write a personal narrative using a comic strip as a story board. She was so proud of her ability to understand the content and participate like all the other kids even though she couldn’t write out her story yet. Her classmates loved it too! Later that year I changed my major.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceSo, I’m unapologetically a massive Swiftie and have lots of her vinyls up around my classroom. My students last year liked to try to give me a hard time about it, but one of my tougher students out of the blue one day asked me what I would do/say if they pooled and got me tickets to her concert. Through held back tears, I told him I would be sobbing tears of joy, and I love him for even suggesting it. No more hard times were given after that.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off my car and then use the rest to take my boys on a trip either to Disneyland or to the Monster Jam World Finals. They absolutely love monster trucks and all things Disney!
