I became a teacher because I had a horrible teacher in third grade who made me feel useless and inadequate and that I wasn’t valued as a student in her class. I promised that I would become a teacher so that I could empower my students and never wanted anyone to feel the way that Teacher made me feel in third grade.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are many moments in my 26 years of teaching that are so memorable. The most memorable time was when my sixth grade class wrote and composed a song for our schools 125th anniversary and we performed it for the whole school and the district members of the board.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off some of my debt and I would take a small vacation. Along with continuing to provide more snacks and school supplies for my students..
