Tell us why you became a teacher

I am here on this earth to encourage and inspire people. With my life story of trials and tribulations, I can be a light to people in the dark. I was put on this earth solely to help others like myself.My father murdered my mother when I was 9. If it wasn't for my high school coaches, counselors and teachers I wouldn't be here today. These people instilled the virtues I live and because of tis i feel like i need to do the same for todays youth. Everyday i strive to become the person I needed.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most Memorable teaching moment was giving a graduation speech. In the speech I told my life story in detail about what I went through growing up and how I feel high school saved my life. After the speech kids and parents started to share their own trial and tribulations. I learned so much about other people's struggles that day. When I went home I sat in my bed recollecting on how I got to this point, from sitting in ISS to giving a speech to a graduating class.The day I learned my purpose.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Half would go to loans the other half would pay for my high school athletes to showcase their talents in college camps and 7 on 7 leagues this summer
