I became a teacher because the profession allows me to combine my two passions in life- social studies, and helping others improve their lives. I believe that investing in America’s youth is one of the most important jobs in our country!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt’s difficult to pick just one. There are so many times that I have been a part of the rewarding process of supporting students and watching them achieve their goals both inside and outside of school. It never gets old and it remains a constant reminder as to why I became a teacher in the first place!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the money to help pay off some of me and my wife’s student loan debt (she is also a public school teacher). I would also use part of the money to help start a Kentucky Youth Assembly chapter at my high school!
