After 23 years, I love teaching English because it’s about more than words—it’s shaping lives, sparking dreams, and sharing stories❤️

I became a teacher because I know firsthand how education transforms lives. As a struggling divorced mother, I understood the challenges parents and children face when striving for a better future. Education was my lifeline—a way to create opportunities for myself and my child. I wanted to be that same lifeline for others, to inspire children to dream bigger and help parents see the power of learning. Teaching is my way of giving back, offering hope, and showing what’s possible!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment was the first time I witnessed a student’s “aha” moment. I was helping a child who had been struggling with reading, and suddenly, the words on the page clicked for them. Their face lit up with excitement, and they said, “I get it now!” That spark of understanding was pure magic. Seeing their pride and joy reminded me why I became a teacher—to witness those moments of growth and to help children discover the confidence and thrill of learning something new.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to create a scholarship fund for students in need to pursue higher education or extracurricular opportunities they couldn't otherwise afford.
