I became a teacher, driven by a passion for empowering all children, regardless of their background, to reach their full potential. I am committed to making a profound impact on young lives, proving that they can rise above their circumstances. For 31 years, I have remained steadfast in my dedication, never doubting my decision. The children have transformed my life, and I am confident that I have made a lasting difference in theirs. I strive to be a positive influence and a guiding light.

My most unforgettable teaching experience was with the world's top boxer, Gervonta "Tank" Davis, who came back years later to inspire my students about the transformative power of education and being a student athlete, showing that when teachers invest their heart and soul, students respond with gratitude and appreciation, returning to thank them for the life-changing impact they've had. I was surprised and thankful for him taking time out of his busy schedule to speak to my high schoolers.

I aspire to create a scholarship that bears my late Father's name, empowering individuals who share his passion for medicine, social work, and military service. As a trailblazing Tuskegee Airman, my dad demonstrated unwavering dedication to our country. Although racial injustices prevented him from pursuing a medical degree, he excelled at Columbia University and went on to become a Licensed Social Worker in Brooklyn, NY. I would also put some money away for my grandson for college.
