Through school I always had a passion for reading, writing, public speaking and theatre. When I realized I could use skills from all of my passions in a teaching career it was natural to share my enthusiasm with students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year teaching was the 2020-2021 school year, virtual teaching in Baltimore County Public Schools. That fall was fully remote and the spring became in person. Virtual teaching was a huge challenge, but I learned so much and I will never forget that experience. I know that if I could teach through Covid 19, I could teach through anything!
What would you do with the $25,000?I am currently pursuing my masters degree in Gifted and Creative Education at Towson University and I would use the money to continue my education. I would also use it to create a high quality magazine for my after school Literary Magazine club where my students compose creative writing short stories, poems, interviews and more.
