As a visually impaired individual, I faced challenges in education. But with supportive teachers, I thrived. I became a teacher to pay it forward, providing inclusive education and empowering students with disabilities to reach their full potential.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne unforgettable teaching moment was when a blind student, who struggled to visualize complex concepts, finally grasped a difficult math idea through tactile aids. Witnessing their confidence and excitement was incredibly rewarding, reminding me of the power of inclusive education.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I win 25K as America's Favorite Teacher, I'll expand our school's agricultural educational mini farm project! I'll purchase accessible gardening tools, Braille signage, and sensory-friendly equipment, ensuring inclusive hands- on learning for my elementary students.
