I became a teacher to provide a safe space for students to be able to learn and express themselves. I had teachers who believed in me and are the reason I am who I am today. I wanted to be able to support kids in pursuing their dreams and doing their best to achieve them.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment in teaching was when I had one student who struggled with work due to being autistic. There was another student who sat next to him and was very understanding. He would ask him what he was struggling with and talk him through the problem until the student was calmed and able to complete the task. My student who helped told me that he was able to help the other kid because of the way I taught. It meant everything that he learned the materials and was able to teach someone
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won it would go towards paying off bills, having money in savings, and being able to buy supplies for my classroom. I would be able to get more snacks for my students and create a necessities drawer for students who might need items for home.
