I became a teacher because of Mr. Hill who not only saw the educator in me but believed in me enough to keep reminding me it was a possibility. I want that for my students for them to know not only do I believe in them but that I see the possibilities and talents they possess.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are many but I think my most memorable was being requested by a parent to teach her youngest after teaching her first born the year before. She felt like the impact I had was something she wanted both her daughters to experience and it was truly unforgettable for me.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest in my yoga teaching to bring more mindfulness to schools. It has been so beautiful to help my students see the power of their breathing, that they control their bodies and can trust themselves. I would also put the rest in savings.
