I love teaching because I get to spend time with kids as they learn who they are and help them be prepared for the world out there.

I became a teacher to be a positive, responsible, and supportive role model for students as they grow as people. I want to give them the tools to imagine, think critically, and to improve their own world. Teaching is about making an impact for those who can echo and magnify a great change to the world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA memorable teaching experience I had was the first time I taught the play "Sorry Wrong Number" to 7th grade. Kids were not excited about having to read a play until I revealed, "There is a man who is hired to kill someone". The students each recieved roles and became chatterboxes every time foreshadowing occurred. Then out of nowhere, a student gasps and says "MISS! IS THE MURDER PLOT FOR HER[the main character]?" of course, I said we would have to keep reading to find out...
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would first make sure my school had an abundance of pencils and notebooks. Every year we end up needing donations at some point. Plus, I would love to get more class sets of books so we have a variety of genres to read from year to year. Next, I would save money. After growing up with unstable finances, having money in savings has been a pipe dream.
