When I was a little, I pretended to be a teacher. Now, that's my career! I wanted to work with kids and teaching is a dream come true!

I became a teacher because I love learning, working with children, and want to make an impact on their lives. I have a passion for learning and strive to learn new things. I believe I was born to be a teacher. I was born to work with children and be apart of their journey. Watching chilren fall in love with learning is so rewarding. I strive to build postive connections and relationships, so my students feel safe, heard, understood, and know they can do anything they want to.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience happens every year. My favorite part of being a teacher is seeing the children learn, grow, and love school. I love when parents that tell me their child didn't read, now they can't stop reading. Also, the ones who told me their child didn't like school, but now love it. A memorable moment is happening now. One of my students was reading well below grade. Four months later, that student is reading well above grade level and always has a book in hand.
What would you do with the $25,000?I've never been to Hawaii, but is on the very top of my bucket list. If I was to win, I would use the money to send my family with me. They mean so much to me and I wouldn't want to go without them. I would love to continue my professional development. My students are very excited and want a Dogman 🍕 party. I would ❤️ to give them one. They are huge Dogman fans!!!
