I became a teacher so students have someone to believe that they can achieve their dreams by working hard. I wanted students to know that they can have fun while learning at the same time. Ultimately, I want to instill a love for life-long learning!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere are so many! Every time a child “gets it”, it’s memorable to me! My favorite moments are when students from years past come to see me and can’t wait to show me how hard they have worked to overcome odds all because someone knew they could and pushed them to be their best! It’s so rewarding!
What would you do with the $25,000?The responsible part of me says pay off debt. And while I’m sure I would have to put some towards that… I would first take my family on a vacation. They are the ones that have to miss out on mom because of countless hours spent at the school. I feel I give so much to my students some days that my family gets what left. I would love to take them on a trip to show my love and appreciation for all their support. Finally, I would buy a mobile planetarium to have to share with my students!
