To give a kindergarten experience filled with love and excitement around education. I want each student to know they always have an adult in their lives that sees the best in them and wants them to soar! I had a lovely kindergarten teacher that still gives me warm fuzzies when I think of her. I want to shower that same love and care with my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceYears ago, I had a student that had difficulties in preschool and was removed from 2 before my K class. I was told he would be rough. I knew I needed to build a strong connection quickly when the year started. It took time though, different approaches and getting to know his likes and dislikes, and how to problem solve. 3 months into the year we built a strong relationship that helped him beyond school walls. His mom reported a happier son who loved school. He was able to shine! So much pride!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to pay my student loans off and take my 4 children(2 girls+ 2 boys) and husband on a trip. My kids have never been on a plane! I also want to upgrade my classroom library area to hold my love for children’s books!
