I love teaching because it inspires a lot of students to be themselves. It gives students an opportunity to help them figure out themselves.

I became a teacher because growing up I spent most of my time in school and I knew that if I wanted to make a change, it started with tomorrow’s generation. I became a teacher because I want to inspire students to be the best version of themselves they can be. I became a teacher because it makes me happy genuinely.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is knowing my students look to me as a person that they know believes in them. When my students took a district wide exam last year, they felt scared and worried they weren’t going to do so well but, I kept telling them that they can do anything they put their mind too. When they finished their test and we all checked the scores. They all scored very well and they told me Ms. Vazquez you knew I could do it. That was the best moment I have ever experienced.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would definitely used it to donate to my school hopefully it’ll help our school with funding field trips, school activities and classroom resources. Not to mention the sewage system needs a redo in the building we are teaching in.
