The donation to The Planetary Society will come from votes purchased through the competition. 100% of donations raised from votes purchased during America's Favorite Teacher competition will go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donation (minus competition fees/costs and a nominal percentage (1%) retained by DTCare) to The Planetary Society. The donation will help support The Planetary Society's mission to increase discoveries in our solar system and beyond, inspiring curiosity and innovation in future generations.

The Planetary Society is the world's largest nonprofit space organization, inspiring discovery through education, innovation, and a passion for the cosmos. Their mission is to increase discoveries in our solar system and beyond.

The competition supports The Planetary Society because of its unparalleled commitment to exploration, education, and innovation. As the world's largest nonprofit space organization, it was founded by Carl Sagan in 1980 and inspires discovery in our solar system and beyond, earning an impressive 99/100 Charity Navigator score.

Many charities with honorable missions lack the bandwidth to run effective fundraising campaigns year-round. Through this competition, DTCare allows The Planetary Society to spend less time raising funds, and more time focusing on its mission.

We recommend trying to vote again from a different device or browser, as this will often fix most issues. Another possibility could be that it has not been a full 24 hours since your last vote. If you continue to experience difficulties, please contact our Support Team and we will be happy to help.

You can use your Free Daily Vote once every 24 hours and you can cast "Donation Votes" for your favorite Competitor at any time.

We have a strict “no refund” policy which Voters agree to when they make a purchase. Since winners are decided based upon votes the public casts, we do not issue refunds once a vote has been fully processed in our system. As a Voter, you are responsible for understanding this upon casting votes for the competitor in the competition.

Yes! Every purchased vote is a direct donation to DTCare, a 501(c)(3) charity, and are deductible for federal income tax purposes. DTCare will subsequently make a grant to The Planetary Society after the winner is announced. Donors will receive a receipt via email.
