Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to help show kids that the world isn’t as scary as they make it out to be. Sometimes things can be a lot easier if you just know a little more about the way things work! I love every second of time I get to help children learn something they never thought they could know.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I was asked to teach AP Psychology with no prior knowledge on the subject. I was worried about this, but the students had my back and together we have been working really hard to make sure that everyone is ready for the exam! It was one of the greatest feelings to see so many students rally behind me and help make the best of a not ideal situation.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Pay off my student loans and some of my mortgage. Hopefully it would help get me into a position where I could put even more resources into my classroom!
