I became an educator because I believe knowledge changes lives. I’m driven by the desire to help others grow, think critically, and see their own potential. Teaching allows me to share what I’ve learned while continuing to learn myself. There’s meaning in guiding someone from confusion to clarity and in knowing I’ve helped shape confidence, curiosity, and opportunity for the future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was watching a struggling student finally grasp a concept they had doubted they could understand. After weeks of frustration, their face lit up with confidence and pride. In that moment, I saw the power of patience, encouragement, and belief. It reminded me that teaching isn’t just about lessons—it’s about unlocking potential and changing how someone sees themselves.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in my classroom by upgrading resources, incorporating innovative technology, and creating engaging learning experiences that directly benefit my students. I would also take a meaningful vacation with my family—something I rarely do. I hardly ever take time off for myself, so this would be a chance to rest, recharge, and return even more energized and present for my students.
